Boxes and their guardians, secret contents and vigilant keepers. Using animals with strong mythical stories I combined this and the hidden message themes.

These creatures are the guardians between worlds, deer appearing as the gateways open. Do they wish us good passage or bar our entry?  Do we know what the boxes hold? It’s there to discover.

​

Then the crows, bringers of messages and omens, happy and less welcome news. Luck is decided on the numbers seen gathered together, goddesses and kings are represented by them.

​

Even the diminutive wren has been seen as a bird of war, boosting a person’s courage if seen.

 

How can these creatures fail to guard the secret contents of the boxes?
